As a life coach at Cathy Smith Coaching, the topic of time is brought up often.
How is your relationship with time and how do you manage it?
Do you do what you say you’re going to do, when you say you’re going to do it. Or, is it just empty words that never happen?
Time can be a challenging concept for some people. It can be difficult to manage and prioritise in your daily life. Are you always late and find it hard to stick to a schedule. While others are very punctual and make sure they honour the other person by being on time for appointments and meetings.
Practice “Me” Time
Do you honour your own time? Your own time should be extremely important, and you should make sure that you have time blocks in your calendar that are non-negotiable. For example, prioritising your health and make time for exercise.
Do you? And do you stick to your commitments to yourself?
Or are you wasting your free time on social media or binge-watching Netflix, rather than doing things that are productive or meaningful?
Self-care and personal development are important aspects of life that should be given attention. It’s crucial to set aside quality time for these activities. In some cases, outside accountability can be a big help in reaching our goals, and I offer coaching services for those of you who need support in this area.
For those you who struggle with time management, having external accountability can be helpful. This could be achieved through coaching or involving someone else in your plans, such as a team or a friend. By having someone to hold you accountable, it becomes easier to follow through with your commitments and make the most of your time.
Learn To Prioritise
It’s important to consider what you’re not doing that you should be. Allocating quality time to those things can make a huge difference. Whether it’s in your career or personal life, making time for what’s important is essential. Take action so that you can make this year the best it can be.
